West Hendon Playing Fields Design Contest Deadline Extended

Due to a high demand, we are happy to announce the deadline for the design contest has been extended until 7th September 2022, 12 noon.

The contest is looking for a design team to prepare proposals for West Hendon Playing Fields, one of the largest recreation grounds in the borough. The park contains a range of amenities and facilities, including tennis courts, playgrounds and football pitches, a bowling green and pavilion. It is located in the south-western corner of the borough adjacent to the Welsh Harp reservoir and shares a boundary with the London Borough of Brent. The aim is to transform the park from its current form into ‘an exemplary destination park’ that forms a well connected centerpiece to the local community and wider area. The winner will develop their scheme up to and including RIBA Stage 3.
