URBAN GREEN CORRIDOR

At the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, people were forced to adjust to the strict boundaries of the new normal. Among the virtues that were forged during this troubling times is discipline and this must be sustained if we are to coexist with viruses like this.

This virtue drives the design of this public space, a city block that is pedestrianized to give priority to cyclist and pedestrian users alike. One directional paths are proposed for both cyclist and pedestrians and are refined by plants that serve as bio filters. the design is derived from the following concepts: accessibility, versatility and durability
